5.
What is
Single Sign-On and why is it important?
Often
abbreviated to SSO, Single Sign-On is an
authentication process where users enter an
identifier (user name) and a password, and are
granted access to any number of resources within an
ebusiness environment. SSO is important to
ebusinesses as it removes the requirement for users
to manage multiple identifications and passwords
when switching between applications. |

10. How
long does it take to deploy SentryAccess?
SentryAccess can be deployed in a matter of hours.
Our solution consists of three software components:
the SentryAccess Agent, SentryAccess Server, and
SentryAccess Manager. SentryAccess Agent software
should be installed on the same machines as your Web
server software. SentryAccess Server software should
be installed on a machine capable of connecting to
your user and policy database(s). The SentryAccess
Manager should be installed on the same machine
where you installed the SentryAccess Server, as this
is where the SentryAccess Administration Service
resides. Further, SentryAccess includes Web plug-ins
and APIs that will leverage your existing security
infrastructure, making the deployment of your Web
applications faster and easier than ever. Lastly,
because SentryAccess is a lightweight application,
it leaves a minimal footprint, thereby reducing
installation time. |
