1. Authentication failure due to service port

Check the service port you are using. If the
SentryAccess Server, Agent, Admin or Control is

2. SentryAccess is being installed for the second time, and our existing license file cannot be used.
That is because your license has expired, and you need to obtain a new one. It is our standard policy to issue
new licenses, even if SentryAccess is installed on a computer where it has been previously installed. Please
contact your representative, or request another demonstration license to
sales@nenix.com |

3. When re-installing SentryAccess, I find that the new policy database cannot be configured due to a
previous policy database
Before re-installing SentryAccess, your existing policy database needs to be completely deleted before you
can configure a new one. However, you can save your existing policy database by using either the
SentryAccess Backup utility or the database archive utility, and then reuse your policy database after
re-installation. |

5. An error occurs when I use Microsoft SQL2000 as my policy database repository

10. Remote operations (Service Start, Stop, Restart) do not work
Please verify that the SentryAccess Control Service is running. If it is running, then the Control Service is not
running, or the button(s) has (have) been disabled. You need to restart the Control Service from Windows
Services window. Please note that only IIS has this service (as it is a Windows service). Apache and iPlanet
do not have control services. |

11. When using HTML Authentication, the basic authentication window does not come up. “Powered By
Nenix” does not appear in the Basic authentication window
This may happen if the physical folder of the web resource is NTFS formatted and the user does not have
access authority. It may also happen if the URI is protected through Windows Integrated. For correct
operation, the user needs to be authorized to access the physical folder. |
